Assistant Restaurant Manager, Northport Hotel

The Northport Hotel located historic Northport Village is looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team. The Northport Hotel is a boutique hotel featuring a casual fine dining restaurant. We are looking for a team leader that is fully focused on guest service and the overall dining experience. Are you energetic, outgoing and enjoy working with a dedicated team then the Northport Hotel will be a good fit. The restaurant is a high-volume restaurant serving lunch, brunch, pre and post theater dining option as well as dinner 7 days per week.

 
Financial Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day labor controls and reporting
  • Follow company labor systems to ensure payroll expense is in line
  • Ensure the service team is trained on company cash reporting policies
  • Help implement revenue generating ideas in the department
  • Utilize and manage outlet forecasting system
  • Budget and P&L analysis and management

Team:

  • Recruit, hire, and train service teams building a passion for service
  • Consistently coach and train all team members in company standards and goals
  • Encourage and recognize team performance and develop team members for next-step opportunities
  • Participate and lead staff pre-shift meetings

Service:
  • Daily checklists are being followed and maintained for opening/closing side work and cleaning schedules
  • Ensure staff service standards are being maintained during service
  • Execute table quality checks for all tables in the station throughout meal service
  • Make quick decisions on the floor to correct service failure
  • Respond to all online guest comments track trends and take corrective action
  • Work directly with Executive Chef and General Manager on all promotions and company initiatives

  • Open communication with the team as well as consistent coaching on the company mission and vision

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
